Under rack slide out table

Overview

What’s the first thing you want to unpack when camping? A table. This way you can place things on it as needed. Same as packing away. There are always items you want to keep elevated. As much as I love the Rhino Rack Backbone/ Pioneer platform, the height under the platform does not leave much room to play with.

I researched and found the Eeziawn K9 Mounting Slide Kit that suits their Camp Table.
The height of the rail is 60mm so was about 30mm to high to fit under the Pioneer platform.
I spoke to Chief Manufacturing about my plans and they came up with a solution.
Two channels with drilled holes.

These go between the backbone and pioneer platform, allowing 30mm extra height below the platform. Installing the Slide kit is very easy as the Rhino Rack Pioneer platform has additional channels underneath to allow easy insertion of the strut nuts.

After installed, I inserted the table and pulled out to it was flush with the back of the platform. This way the table lock could be installed. Finally the ‘lock bolts’ were added to stop the medium table sliding forward.

The only thing I would have done differently would have been to purchase the large k9 table.
