Awinging Tent

Heading out for an overnighter - whether it be at a mates place, hunting, or taking the kids out dirt bike riding… basically anything misso is not going to attend… I wanted a quick, easy setup that didn’t take up to much room. Having the 2.5m kings awning made the decision very simple.

The Kings Tent for 2.5x2.5m Awning has held up (so far so good). If you remember the correct steps, (run the bloody thing in the awning mount channel first) you can get this setup in under 10 minutes (awning & awning tent).You can comfortably fit in 3 x single stretchers, which I’ve found to be perfect when taking the kids out.

I would not want to use this for a lap.. but for the occasional trip, it is brilliant value for money.

MX Bike carrier

Made for bikes up to 150kg, this is the perfect quick setup to load you bike and f*** off. Its multi-adjustable 'loop over' design significantly helps secure the bike, and simply add a padlock to give you peace of mind while at a hotel room for the night etc.

Granted, the majority of times I take the trailer and stock mates or the kids bikes along with mine, but there are instances when this come in great use. For example, I had a recent trip down to rural NSW..
I had been to Mudgee region many times over many years and always wanted to go for a bap, but could never justify carting along a bulky trailer – just in the event – I had time to get out and do a bit of exploring in the bush. This is the perfect ..

Note, the 'loop over bar' has been flipped to be able to push down on the kids bike (TTR 90)
I also find it great instead of rooting around with the trailer, can just throw the kids bike on for quick trips up the road.

I reckon it’s a bit dicey if the blokes in blue pull you over .. its width is 1,935mm , ( 50 mm over the Prados width).. but when you through a full sized bike on, the width grows a fair bit more.. So much in fact that I had to remove the stock rear plate tail, and replace with a tidy tail. I recommend adding the lighting kit as it’s just that extra bit of assistance.
I went a step further and added an accessory numberplate.

The only downside to this rack is you cannot open the rear door with the bike on. This means you need to plan your packing and remove the bike to open which can be a bit of a pain at times.
